Trhaksiino

Raised in the Arium mountains, these sturdy horses are well known for their spotted coats.

Ranging from simple snowy blankets across their rumps, to all over wild body spotting, these mountainbred horses are favorites among the mountain Barbari tribes. Their durability in harsh conditions is infamous, with some of the tales told about the breed making wild claims to their abilities to withstand harsh mountain weather, subsist on little to no fodder, and have oddly shaped hooves that are hard enough to traverse rocky slopes with relative ease.

While found in extreme locations, and able to climb sharp steep hills, mountainbreds are not the best horses for lowland riding. They sicken on the overly rich grass in the lowlands, and find warm mild conditions bothersome to their breathing. They can, however, be cross-bred with other species of horses to make them low-land adaptable and to pass on their strikingly beautiful blanket and body spots.
