    Description

The Midlands is the largest region of Maeve, stretching from the border of Medonia to the west, along the northern border with Centripax, until it reaches the Maevewood to the west. Known for it’s fertile plains and many wide rivers and streams that flow across the length and breadth of the region, to the Bay of Queens and the city of Port Alyxandrya.

    History

The District had once been the Kingdom of Daltina, long before the area had been annexed by the Aelyrian Empire to form the province of Enamoria. However in the time after the war against the Xet, the province of Enamoria was once again two, the eastern portion renamed The District of Maeve, and the western part now known as the Refuge of Medonia.

    Geography

    Terrain
The terrain of the Midlands is typified by rolling grasslands, numerous wide rivers and streams, and small stands of evergreen forests.
    Climate
The climate within the Midlands is generally mild, due to the southern winds from the Sea of Diana, and the agricultural growing seasons within the province are considered extended. The winters are generally mild and involve heavy precipitation, with snow and frost very uncommon. The summers are warm and subtropical, though cooled by a system of seasonal breezes. Outside of the rainy winter, rainfall is sparse and the fertile lands are irrigated by the many river and streams that flow freely through the region.

    • Domestic Animals; sheep, goats, cattle, horses
    • Viticulture; wine, fruits
