Description
A lush and expansive rainforest, the Koor Jungle extends from the shores of the Northern Sea where the
Koor River empties into the ocean, down to the sandy reaches of the Sshir'ssat Desert. The jungle primarily exists along the tributaries of the great river, growing thick and bountiful with the steady supply of water the roots leech from its basin. Rubber, mahogany and gigantic wimba trees are among some of the few trees found in the region, with vines--some of these vicious predators--often draping down from the high branches. Wildlife of the jungle include the beautiful jaguar, shrieking monkeys, giant anacondas and piranha, to say little of some of the more mythical and dangerous creatures that make the jungle their home.
Significance
The Koor Jungle provides what native tribes with protection and sustenance against the world beyond the rainforest. It provides a steady bounty of rich foods, both vegetation and flesh alike, and any number of special herbs not found anywhere else in the world. For those able to take advantage of the economic of the region's bounty, there will always be those interested in the exotics pelts and plants found deep within the forest.
