Welcome to Telath! We're a group of players, moderators, admins, and friends who have been part of Aelyria for over fifteen years. We started Telath as a way to keep the shared world alive and growing. Not everything is going to be exactly the same - it isn't 2000 anymore and we have jobs, relationships, and families - but the core of our forum will always be roleplaying. So if you've got fond memories of Alleria Prime, watching Jaedaxia burn (again), or trying to figure out exactly how many legions there are, we hope you'll blow the dust off your character and jump into some threads!
This information is specifically for old players who have carried over from Aelyria.
Only if you want to continue the thread with friends and/or mods! Copying over threads is totally optional.
We've deliberately structured Telath to avoid the single points of failure we've experienced over the years. Specifically:
Telath is and always will be community supported. We will never charge for features like custom avatars and titles.
We own a Xenforo license and host the site on a reputable hosting platform that specializes in small, user-maintained sites.
We will be posting financial and infrastructure updates regularly (likely biannual or quarterly, though the exact schedule is tbd). Fundraising - if and when it happens - will be performed with a specific goal (e.g. to cover forum license renewals or updates, to buy X years of hosting).

RP
How do I get started?- Create a thread in the Character forum, or copy your CIR from the old forums if you have it. Some SIRs (and SoF threads) were saved from the old site.
- Start RPing! This step is really important.
- Poke a staff member (or create a thread in the Help Desk) especially if you've got noble titles, blingbling, or phawt lewtz.
- ???
- Profit!

Will there be a Kaelon 2.0?We've deliberately structured Telath to avoid the single points of failure we've experienced over the years. Specifically:
- Staff members are administrators will full control over the forums and access to the forum's data and backups.
- Technical maintenance (regular forum updates, backups, etc.) will be handled by people interested in infrastructure and not being god-king of their fictional universe.
